Waterfalls: Thirpparappu Falls
This is a very attractive waterfalls situated near to surabhi gardens. The water fall is formed as the Kodayar River plunges from a height of about 50 ft at Thirparappu.
Mathur Aqueduct - 8 kms
Mathur Hanging Trough, is an Aqueduct in Southern India, in Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu state. Built over the Pahrali River (also called Parazhiyar), it takes its name from Mathur, a hamlet near the Aqueduct. It is one of the longest and highest aqueducts in South Asia and is also a popular tourist spot in Kanyakumari District.
Padmanabhapuram Palace (20 km)
Padmanabhapuram Palace is located in Padmanabhapuram, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, India. Padmanabhapuram is the former capital city of the erstwhile kingdom of Travancore. It is about 20km from Nagercoil, and about 50km from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The palace was constructed around 1601 AD by Iravi Varma Kulasekhara Perumal who ruled Venad between 1592 and 1609. The palace complex is inside an old granite fortress around four kilometers long. The palace is located at the foot of the Veli Hills, which form a part of the Western Ghats. The river Valli flows nearby.

Thirpparappu Mahadeva Temple
This 500 year old temple is spectacular for its architectural works and stone carvings. The third Shivalaya of the 12 Shivalayas of Kanyakumari is located near surabhi gardens. Mahadevar Temple built by Raja RajaChola is small but beautifully built in traditional Kerala architechtural style.
Adhiesava Temple (13 Kms)
The Sri Adikesavaperumal Temple is a Hindu temple located in Thiruvattar, India and is one of the 108 Divyadesams, the holy sites of Hindu Vaishnavism. The temple is a picturesque setting surrounded on three sides by rivers (River Kothai, River Pahrali and River Thamirabarani). This temple is older than the Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple atThiruvananthapuram and one of the divya devams. The style and the architecture of this temple has been taken as the sample to construct the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple at Thiruvananthapuram. Sri Anantha Padmanabhaswamy temple deity lies in the direction as to see the Thiruvattar Adi kesava deity.
Chitharal Malai kovil (11 km)
The Chitharal Jain Monuments are the ruins of a Jain training centre from the 9th century CE. The monuments are located in the small village of Chitharal, Tamil Nadu, which lies 7 km from Marthandam and 55 km from Kanyakumari. Chitharal is historically known as Thirucharanathupalli - the abode of Jainmonks belonging to the Digambara sect. It is famous for the hillock which has a cave containing rock-cut sculptures of Thirthankaras and attendant deities carved inside and outside dating back to the 9th century.
